Jon Cruz Penaflor Sr.
With nearly two decades of experience, multiple successful salons, and a previous Director of Hair Dynamics, Jon Cruz is our lead educator as well as Director at Elysian. The talent, experience, and endless amounts of knowledge in the industry make him our obvious choice as a Director, Mentor, and Teacher for Elysian. “I want to not only give our students the best in education and technique to send them into the Salon environment, but I also want to build a lasting connection and legacy with them. I intend to prepare them for the work field in ways that no other school in our area is doing. The things that I wanted when I was in school, and the things I wish I was taught are what Elysian will be bringing to the table. We hope to shake up the Salon industry in order to change the next generation of Cosmetologists and Barbers for the better.”

Rachael Penaflor
With over 5 years of experience as an Esthetician, as well as over 15 years in the industry as a whole, Rachael is the visionary leader of Elysian. Her endless expertise on not only her craft, but on building connections with people will set Elysian apart from the rest. “Building connections with local Salons in the Northern Colorado area is essential for our students success. Providing our students with the different perspectives on Salon culture and the real work environment is what I had wanted from Cosmetology school. Giving the next generation of masters in this industry has always been a dream of mine, and Elysian can’t wait to be your choice for Cosmetology and Barber Education!”
